At Perth Roofing & Gutters we are strong advocates of solar panels, and we are also able to help you keep them clean and working efficiently. We find that because solar panels work silently with no prompting, they lack the proper cleaning and maintenance to work at peak efficiency.
Because they are easy to forget we recommend a yearly appointment so that we can clean and inspect the panels. While many people claim they can clean their solar panels without any professional help, we do not suggest this for several reasons.
- Climbing on your roof is dangerous
- Hosing the panels will not accomplish much
- Care is needed to prevent damaging the panels when cleaning and a light touch is best
- Professional grade cleaning agents produce better results while requiring less harsh scrubbing
